We believe in living a life at peace with God through his son, Jesus Christ.

Scripture

The Bible is the inerrant, infallible Word of God in its original manuscripts. It is completely inspired by God from Genesis 1:1 to Revelation 22:21 and men wrote as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit. The Bible is humanity’s sole authority in this world for all of life. Through the Bible we come to understand who God is, who we are, how we are to live and God’s great plan of redemption.

Psalm 19:7; 2 Timothy 3:16; 1 Peter 1:25; 2 Peter 1:20,21

God

There is one God and He exists in a Trinity. All three persons of the Trinity are one and are equally and eternally God. God exists as God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. This does not mean that there are three gods, nor that the three are three parts of God, but one God in three persons. God is a Divine Person who is infinite, eternal, all-knowing, all powerful, invisible, everywhere and ever present. He is holy, loving, righteous, faithful, good, merciful, gracious, just, slow to anger and abounding in lovingkindness. He is the Creator and Sustainer and absolute Sovereign of this universe and is solely worthy of all our love and worship.

Genesis 1:26; Exodus 34:6; Deuteronomy 4:35,39, 6:4; Psalm 9:7; Isaiah 63:16; Matthew 22:37; Acts 17:24 -28; Colossians 1:16 -18

Satan

Satan is the archenemy of God and humanity. He was there in the Garden of Eden deceiving Adam and Eve and was also present at the crucifixion of Jesus. He is hostile to everything good and seeks to frustrate the plans and purposes of God for His people. Though he has superhuman power, he is limited in what he can do. He comes to steal, kill, destroy, and to tempt God’s people but we can resist him and he will flee from us. One day satan will be thrown into the Lake of Fire where he will be tormented day and night forever and ever.

Genesis 3:1 -7; Job 1:6 -12, 2:1 -6; John 10:10; Ephesians 6:10 -20; Revelation 20:10

The Fall and State of Man

Humanity was created in the image of God and they were created male and female. Adam and Eve were created without sin and enjoyed fellowship with God. But in the Garden of Eden, Adam and Eve sinned and consequently fell from his original state, and as a result, sin and death spread to all of humanity. Every person is born in sin, separated from God, and absolutely without hope apart from Jesus Christ. Sin has spread to every aspect of their being and apart from the saving grace of God drawing an individual to believe in Jesus, every person would go to an eternal Hell.

Genesis 1:27, 3:1 -24; Psalm 51:5; John 3:16 -18; Romans 5:12; Ephesians 2:1 -9,12

Salvation

Salvation is of God from beginning to end. He sent His one and only Son to be the atoning sacrifice for our sins. Jesus Christ is the only way to the Father and we are saved by grace through faith and this, not of ourselves, it is the gift of God.

John 14:6; Romans 3:23 -25; Ephesians 2:8,9

The Church

The Church are those people who have been born again by the Spirit of God. They are the body of Jesus Christ on the earth, of whom Jesus is the head. Through the Church, God manifests Himself to a lost world and through His body does He reach out in saving grace and acts of kindness to save humanity. The Church is a family who live life together and who corporately worship God, fellowship with one another, disciple new converts, evangelize the lost and serve the Lord. The church celebrates two ordinances; baptism and the Lord’s supper.

Acts 2:40 -47; Romans 12:3 -8; 1 Corinthians 12:4 -31; Ephesians 1:18 -23, 4:11 -16

Baptism and the Lord’s Supper

Baptism is an outward sign of an inward reality. Christians are immersed under the water in the Name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. It is a picture of the Christian’s union with the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

Communion is a celebration of the death of Jesus for sinners. The wine represents His blood and the bread represents His body and as we partake of this together we proclaim the Lord’s death until He comes.

Matthew 28:19; Luke 22:14 -20; Romans 6:3,4; 1 Corinthians 11:23 -32

Missions and Evangelism

God has called the church on mission with Him in this world. He has commissioned the church to go in His authority with the gospel to all nations. Consequently, every believer has the great privilege and responsibility to be a witness of Jesus Christ in their portion of God’s harvest field. This is to be done at all times, in season and out, that by all possible means some might be saved. He has also gifted some to be evangelists, who give themselves fully to proclaiming the gospel.

Mark 16:15; Acts 1:8, 13:1 – 4; Ephesians 4:11; 2 Timothy 4:1 -5; 1 Peter 3:15

Last Things

There is coming a great and awesome Day when the sky will be rolled back like a scroll and the trumpet shall sound and Jesus shall descend and the end will come. The elect shall be gathered from the four winds of Heaven and the wicked shall call for the rocks and mountains to fall on them to hide them from His face. Then the books will be opened and everyone will stand before the judgement seat of Christ. The righteous will go to eternal life but the wicked will go into eternal punishment in the Lake that burns with fire and sulfur.

Matthew 24:29 -31, 25:46; 1 Thessalonians 4:13 -18; Hebrews 9:27; Revelation 6:14 -17, 20:11 -15
